About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Assistant to join our clients finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in finance and accounting within a supportive and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices accurately and efficiently


• Match purchase orders with invoices and resolve discrepancies


• Maintain and reconcile accounts payable ledger


• Prepare and process payment runs (BACS, CHAPS, etc.)


• Respond to supplier queries and maintain strong relationships


• Assist with month-end closing and reporting


• Support the wider finance team with ad hoc tasks

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in an accounts payable or finance role (preferred)


• Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Orderwise and Business Central)


• A proactive and positive attitude

What We Offer

• Monday to Friday


• Flexible working hours between 7am to 5pm (40 hours a week)


• Temporary position, going permanent after the qualifying period
