Are you a Buyer, looking for a new opportunity?

Do you have solid Buying/Supply chain experience and able to work in a creative and fast paced environment, then this could be for you!

We are working for a growing company based in Luton, who are looking for someone who is driven, enthusiastic and wants to progress in a supply chain environment.

This role is working with the Purchasing team, to create and implement a strategy for the company’s future demands. You will be developing relationships with vendors to maintain growth, minimise cost and increase profit. Ensure suppliers can support current and future activities and raise formal purchase orders through the order processing system.

Role summary:

• To manage costs, in line with their own profit margins


• Able to produce accurate prices to the sales team


• To respond to customer requests in a timely manner


• Negotiate best price/ payment terms and deals with suppliers


• Making sure that a full written documentation trail is saved in accordance with company procedures


• Being able to raise purchase orders through the companies processing system


• To generate delivery notes from template’s


• Keeping the sales department in the loop with all relevant information

What is required for this role:

• Previously worked in Buying/ Supply chain


• Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills


• Good working knowledge of Excel, and VLOOKUP.


• Strong accountability & numerical skills with attention to detail.


• CIPS 3, or currently undertaking CIPS


• Great communication skills both written and verbally

Salary:

• Paying up to £32,000 depending on experience
