Commodity Manager – Strategic Sourcing | Permanent | Hybrid


We’re looking for a Commodity Manager to join a high-performing sourcing team within a world-class engineering and manufacturing environment. This permanent role offers the chance to support a range of business portfolios, including an initial focus on maternity cover for specific areas, after which your remit will evolve with business needs.


You’ll be at the heart of strategic procurement, working closely with suppliers across the UK and internationally to ensure continuity of production, smooth new product introductions, and alignment with manufacturing schedules. Collaboration is key, you'll partner with operational teams, project managers, and sourcing colleagues to deliver innovative, value-driven sourcing strategies.


This is a varied role where you’ll:



  • Manage supply chains to support ongoing production and new product introduction

  • Collaborate with manufacturing, project, and procurement teams to solve challenges

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers

  • Adapt quickly to shifting business needs


We’re looking for someone with:



  • Solid experience in sourcing/procurement within regulated industries (defence, aerospace, medical)

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Confidence in negotiation and communication

  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for engineering
