HGV Technician – Fareham - Full Time


Salary: £18.59 per hour Hours: 37 hours per week Working pattern: Monday to Friday


Wild Recruitment are looking for a skilled and motivated HGV Technician to join our clients dedicated Fleet Services team. About the Role


As an HGV Technician, you will carry out maintenance, inspections, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of vehicles, including heavy goods vehicles, light commercial vehicles, and plant equipment. You’ll ensure our fleet remains safe, compliant, and ready to support vital operations across the borough.


Key Responsibilities



  • Conduct routine servicing, MOT preparation, and safety inspections

  • Diagnose faults and carry out mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic repairs

  • Maintain accurate service records and ensure compliance with DVSA standards

  • Work collaboratively within a small, supportive workshop team

  • Respond to occasional breakdowns and support operational needs


Requirements



  • A recognised qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent experience

  • Strong diagnostic and repair skills

  • A proactive, reliable approach to work

  • An HGV licence (desirable but not essential)
