Production Engineering Manager

Fareham / Portsmouth Sites
£55,000 to £65,000

We are recruiting for a Production Engineering Manager to join a specialist manufacturing business producing bespoke industrial cooling and heat exchange equipment. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced engineering leader to drive continuous improvement across a busy fabrication and assembly environment.

The successful candidate will play a key role in improving manufacturability, workflow and production efficiency whilst supporting engineering, fabrication and test teams across the full production process.

The role

• Lead and develop the production engineering function


• Improve shop floor workflow, routing and overall efficiency


• Drive lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activity


• Work closely with design, fabrication and assembly teams to resolve production issues


• Support new product introduction into manufacturing


• Deliver measurable improvements in quality, cost and lead times


• Ensure manufacturing processes comply with H&S and quality standards

What we are looking for

• Engineering background within manufacturing or industrial environments is essential


• Experience in fabricated or engineered to order products


• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles


• Hands on and practical approach to problem solving


• Experience within HVAC, refrigeration, heat exchangers or sheet metal fabrication would be advantageous
