Description:

We are seeking a Senior Lawyer for our client to provide short‑term legal and procedural support within a regulatory committees and tribunals environment. This role requires someone confident advising panels, ensuring legally robust decision making, and operating with complete neutrality.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide independent, neutral legal advice to disciplinary and regulatory committees.


• Ensure all meetings and decisions follow the correct regulatory and procedural frameworks.


• Review draft decisions and identify legal or procedural risks.


• Support quality‑control checks on cases before they reach committees.


• Communicate complex legal issues clearly to non‑lawyers.

Essential Experience

• Qualified lawyer with experience in a regulatory, committee, tribunal, or public‑law environment.


• Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and governance processes.


• Proven ability to act impartially and advise committees on legal process.


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ideal Backgrounds

• Professional regulators (ACCA, CIMA, HCPC, NMC)


• In‑house regulatory legal teams or public/administrative law

Further Details

• 2 month temporary assignment, with possible extension


• Up to £60 per hour


• Hybrid working – Central Milton Keynes


• Immediate start preferred
