Warehouse Operative (night shift)

Location: Eastleigh
Pay rate: £12.21 (goes up after 12weeks - £13.54)
Job Type: Full time, ongoing Working Hours: 6:00pm-2:45am Monday – Thursday, 4:00pm-10:00pm Friday

Job Overview:

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Warehouse Operative / Order Picker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking, packing, and dispatching customer orders, maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment, and assisting with general warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately pick and pack customer orders based on pick lists and dispatch instructions


• Use handheld scanners and other technology to manage inventory


• Load and unload goods from delivery vehicles


• Move stock around the warehouse using manual handling or forklift (if qualified)


• Maintain a clean and organised workspace


• Perform stock checks and report discrepancies


• Follow health and safety procedures at all times


• Support with incoming deliveries and goods-in processes


• Work efficiently to meet targets and deadlines

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is desirable but not essential


• Good attention to detail and accuracy


• Physically fit and able to lift/move heavy items


• Able to work well independently and as part of a team


• Flexible and willing to work additional hours or shifts when required


• Basic literacy and numeracy skills
